How to get in the New Years spirit!

We all have our new years resolutions, but how do we stick to them?




What can I do?


In order to start your new year off right, choose resolutions or as I say changes that you believe will be achievable. I say believe because if you do not see or truly want this change you will more than likely not achieve it. If you want to lose weight start off small. Is it your diet, what you are eating need to be changed? Or do you feel you may need to start off with an exercise plan? You can do it all from home. Don't pay a gym membership, there are all sorts of program videos you can watch and learn from for free. Try facebook groups, you tube is always one of my favorites and so on. Just know it may seem hard at first but it will get easier and be your new normal. You will get more and more confident with yourself and enjoy your life.


Maybe you want to quit smoking, or another bad habit. What I did to personally quit smoking was start chewing mint gum and I always had mints in my purse. There was something about the strong mint flavors that felt invigorating. That and I kept thinking to myself "I can do this, not just for my health but for my family". It was an affirmation I repeated until I was successful which took no time at all. Nothing will give you a better feeling than accomplishing and celebrating the small steps you take to get to the end goal!


How about changing the way you live. Do you want something someone else has? Who doesn't at least once, right? One trick I learned is to not be envious of what others have. Appreciate what you have and take the small steps and visualize yourself having what they do. Start acting and feeling as if you already have what you want, and it will manifest itself much faster. No matter what it is you want, you have the power to change and manifest it into fruition. Write down any motivational or inspiring saying and place it somewhere you can see it daily. Say affirmations having to do with what you are trying to accomplish daily. I suggest saying these affirmations at least 3 times in the morning or when you need to during the day as a reminder, or if you start having doubts. Take a few deep breaths as well when you doubt or feel anxious etc.


Wake up grateful and stay in a positive mood for at least 17 seconds before getting out of bed. Yes, it really does work. It helps to reprogram your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is your inner-self. Your internal guidance system. So remember everything takes time so be patient. What you truly desire and want is already on it's way to you. Do not ever think you will not get to where you want to be. You do not want to contradict and confuse your inner-self and the universe. The universe will always have your back. Stay positive and believe you will get there and you will succeed in anything you want!
